How can I decorate a bedroom that is used for a boy and a girl?

I have a little boy and a little girl that are a year apart. Right now they are 1 and 2. I dont know how to decorate their room. I am trying to find a theme and colors. Any organization tips are welcome to. They have so many toys and their bedroom always looks cluttered even when I clean it. I am a first time mom and a first time house buyer. I have no idea how to decorate their room. Please help!!! Thank you!!!

What are original ideas for decorating a teenage girl's bedroom?

I'm a 13 year old girl interested in art and music and I need to redecorate my room. It is all pink and little-kid-ish and I'm sick of it. I have a friend who put Christmas lights around the top of her room and I was kind of going for that original style. Any ideas?

Hello There,

We all like a nice peaceful retreat and definitely our bedroom is one of those places. I have a 13 year old and we redid her room when she was 12 (last year).

1. We painted her room with silver blue and white (Behr satin finish). Two walls blue, two walls white.

2. We then chose two paintings (from Marshalls) One was a blue hues ocean scene with waves with a white finish frame and the other was a blue painted frame of teenagers playing in the water by the ocean side. It has more light to it. We placed that on the blue wall. We also added a silver oval framed mirror and and rectangular family picture collage frame.

If you really want a string of lights you can hang it along the window.

3. Her bedding is a mixture of different shades of blue, yellow and fuchcia. It is a very peaceful room..

4.We also put a small microwave kitchen cart in her room where she has a terrarium with seashells sitting on top of it. The shelves hold her school supplies. . You can find this at the resource below.

I wish I could show you a picture but it is truly a retreat for her.

This is not an expensive makeover. Follow what we did and choose your own colors. Walmart, Target and Marshalls are all great stores.Discuss it with your parents and

I am a housekeeper with clients as follows:
1) has hawaiian tropical themed bedroom all done in nlack and white with framed photos from landscape around their Hawaiian wedding.
Boys room is thened in sports, soccer, baseball and basketball with large black and white photos of their son's hands on a baseball, feet next to a soccer ball and sitting on a basketball at age one( he is nine now)
daughters room is themed in ballet and victorian lace bedding with her ballet slippers framed in shadowboxes one for each year of her age.
2) Parents room in beach resort style, lots of palm trees and natural colors
son's room in faux finished denim with big pockets and denim bedspread (the blue room)
daughter's room in butterflies fluttering around flowers mural with pink and lavender bedding
3)one daughters room in Pooh with mural and matching bedding and the other daughter's room in the lime green version of Austin Powers Hollywood retro.
4)Entire house, 6 rooms decorated in Victorianna
5)My grand daughter's room is Tinkerbell themed with two shades of laveder on the walls and tinkerbell border at the chair rail height
6)My grand daughter's room in Cinderella theme all blue and white with Cinderella posters and accessories.
7)My son's office is themed in the Marine Corps colors, medals and certificates and pictures of his service.
