I am having trouble finding pictures and ideas. I found the nursery bedding. It has bears, trees, and fish on it.. (http://www.ababysplace.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=1197) I'm thinking a tree painted on the wall or something. But if anyone is more creative than me and has more ideas I would love to hear them! And it would be super cool if you could find pictures, maybe you know of a website I don't OR have a outdoor themed room yourself. THANKS!!!!! :)

Calling all budding interior designers! decoration advice for boy and girl sharing a room please!?

Emily F

I live in a two bedroom flat and pretty soon I will be moving my youngest (8 month old boy) to share a room with my oldest (4 year old girl). At the moment, her room is very pink and purple, but we are going to do a complete re-decoration and will eventually be buying bunk beds when my son is old enough.
I want something that looks classy or modern.... I Really DONT want disney characters or anything like that. I was thinking along the lines of princesses and knights, but it will need to last a few years and I am worried that my daughter will grow out of that too soon.
I am looking for advice in:
Wall colour
Duvet themes / colours
curtain colours
any other tips / good online shops etc.
Many thanks in advance!

Dora and Diego are popular with both girls and boys. You don't have to purchase Dora and Diego wallpaper or hire someone to paint a mural. Since they are explorers, they are always outdoors; you could just go with a jungle theme, animal prints, or outdoor colours like bright blues and greens. Wall decals of Dora or Diego would cost less than wallpaper.

Another neutral option would be to dedicate one wall of the room to display their artwork. There are chalkboard paints and whiteboard paints you can purchase, also peel and stick chalkboards that come in different colours, and white dry-erase boards. There is also a "magnetic" primer which contains iron, and when it is used on a wall under your regular paint, you can use magnets to post pictures and other works on the wall.

I hope this helps!
