boys bedroom sets with desk image

My parents just bought a new house and my bedroom isn't an actual bedroom, it was the previous owner's office. Therefore, there isn't a closet or anything. Its a fairly large room, somewhere upwards of 200 sq feet. However, the carpets are this nasty salmon color and there are also these ugly counters that we can't take out.. I've attached a little collage of pictures of the room. The wall shelves are being taken out, and half of the counters were able to be taken out (the ones on the back wall as well as the one closest to the bottom left corner in the top left photo). Also, before I move in the wall that looks unfinished will be completed..
Things I definitely need in the room:
- 2 wardrobes (already have them, they're a light espresso color)
- bed ( haven't purchased the bed frame yet)
- desk (light wood finish)
-small, 4' high book shelf (light wood finish)
- small flat screen tv (currently have that on my bookshelf, but I'm not sure if that will work with the size of my new room)
I have a black la-z-boy recliner that I MIGHT put in the room, and plan on buying another desk (a vanity style), etc.. I am on a budget as I am 19, and I prefer the look of darker wood finish.. I want the room to be like a small studio apartment, with as many separate areas as possible (studying, sleeping, beauty area, etc) since I have the space to do so.
Any ideas on how to make this room a little less ugly? I was thinking maybe add cabinet doors to the counter, and maybe get some cream colored fabric to cover the counter tops with? I'm open to any idea though (they cannot be painted, and I also cannot paint the walls a color other than white)

Wow, what a space !
First you need a ceiling.Add some pot lights and remove those florescent lights.
Remove the shelves and trash them or use them else where.
A larger bed would fit in the space. You can put it next to the window. You can use a woven headboard :http://www.overstock.com/Home-Garden/Abaca-Weave-Headboard/7213500/product.html
The walls can be painted a grey.
Try mostly white and navy blue bedding .http://luxury-linens-4-less.com/436-1366-large/3pc-hotel-framed-navy-blue-and-white-bedding-duvet-cover-set.jpg

Put your desk and study area at the end of the room away from your bed.
In the middle you can have a table with your tv and some sift chairs .

I am the president of our theater guild and I actually don't like the two options mentioned above. i was thinking about something people could relate to; like: Bye Bye Birdie. nothing with complicated sets but lots of fun songs and energy. Please help me.

Grease is so overdone. I suggest you do something more recent and fresh. Not to mention it requires a lot of set (you need to built some type of car!) Here are some ideas for you that are fun, but don't require that much set:
9 to 5- The rights to this show just came out. Its based of of the Dolly Parton movie and a lot of her songs are in this show so its something modern that people would really love to hear. It does require an office set and a bedroom set, but just get a couple of desks and a bed and your good to go! Here's the website for licensing: http://www.mtishows.com/show_detail.asp?showid=000385
Shrek- The rights to this JUST came out. People have been waiting forever to do this show because its just so much fun! It does require some set like castles and things, but its shrek so it can be fun and creative and it doesn't require that much set. Though you will need some crazy costumes! Here's the website for licensing http://www.mtishows.com/show_detail.asp?showid=000372
Seussical- I've been in this show twice and its so much fun! Its a great one to do at a school and its a real crowd pleaser. Its based off of the books of Doctor Seuss such as The Cat in the Hat and Horton Hears a Who. It is so much fun and really doesn't require that much set. We did it at our High School with a very limited budget. Here is the website for licencing: http://www.mtishows.com/show_detail.asp?showid=000229
Footloose- Again another show I have been in. It is so much fun and it features crowd pleasers such as Footloose, Lets hear it for the boy, and Holding out for a hero. It is such a great show! And it really doesn't require that much set. Here is where you can licence it from: http://www.rnh.com/show/38/Footloose
Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat- I adore this show it has one of the best scores to sing and dance to. It is just so much fun to be in. it pretty much requires no set at all. Its a great one to be in and it really features the ensemble. It does have a lot of male parts, but if your musical is made up of mostly women (like most high schools are) you can just change the brothers to sisters. Here is where you can licence it: http://www.rnh.com/show/57/Joseph-and-the-Amazing-Technicolor-Dreamcoat
I think Bye Bye Birdie is a great choice as well! I was in that show and it was a blast. Here is where you can licence it from: http://www.tams-witmark.com/musicals/byebirdie.html
Hope this helps! :)
