Should the bedroom decor match bathroom?

My bathroom is not in my bedroom but was wondering if it should match in any way?
Also was wondering about kitchen and living room?

I like the bedroom and bath to share one color, at least - such as;
1] lavender walls, smoke blue bedding and drapes in bedroom; and smoke blue walls in bath, with sage green accessories
2] if you can see the kitchen from the living area, also have one common color [ walls, upholstery, art, acceories ].
Otherwise, not necessary.
3] as a general rule, the smaller the home [ apartment, small house ] the more colors in common, the better.

What are some DIY or home decor ideas for pea green paint?

I have a full can of pea green paint and nothing to do with it. I was going to use it on my walls but after i bought it i realized it wouldn't look very good with what i have in the room, I also don't want to buy a whole new set of furniture but i don't want to waste the paint either. I love doing DIY projects and crafty things but i can't seem to think of a good project to use the paint any ideas?

You can try to alter the color by adding white or other bases or you can try and work with it like these picture did..
