What are appropriate pictures to hang in your bedroom?

Q. I am married, and I currently have pictures of my two kids when they were 3 months (their first "professional" pictures), and my husband thinks it's a little weird to have our kids "watching" us as we are in our room. I guess I can understand where he is coming from, but I would like pictures in our bedroom that are precious and timeless. One of my friends said that they have some wedding pictures in their room...? Would that be appropriate? Is that common? I guess I don't usually go into people's master bedrooms and check out the pictures on the wall. Which kind of points this question as null and void, but I, myself, would like some nice pictures in MY bedroom that are precious and timeless, and I guess I would like my husband to also enjoy the pictures on the walls with me.

Any suggestions? :)

Answer
Start going to art shows.Pick up one piece at a time.
Or
Look at posters and frame them.
There are other ways to decorate walls.Try baskets, mirrors or what ever you collect.

You can also buy a lovely book about nature and tear out pages and frame them.Large sixzd coffee table books are often on sale for about $35-$50 .At that price you can change out the pictures every season- if you like.

my boyfriend and I are moving in together.. help decorating bedroom!?

Q. well we are getting an apartment and we've been searching for comforters for the bedroom We finally decided that the one in the link is good. See, everything in my room now is pink, so the bedroom is going to have to have some pink in it. He doesnt own any color themed decor so we decided on pink and brown. (he honestly doesnt care). Weve been searching for wall decorations that are fun (we are nineteen and twenty one), pink and brown with mostly brown (so the room is a tad masculan), and not too expensive. Please send links if you have any! thanks!

Answer
Cute. The one potential issue is comforter is dry clean only. I don't know about you but I like to be able to clean my bedding regularly. Dry cleaning is expensive. Without knowing much more than what bedding you have and that you want pink and brown, it's hard to pinpoint what you might like.
You're best bet is to create some DIY decor or check out some flea markets near where you live. I like Moroccan, Tibetan,& India styles and have found a lot of unique things at flea markets for cheap (but nice!). No kidding... wall art, lamps, bookends, folding bookcases, for $15 and under. Garage sales are good too. Even try your local Salvation Army. I got a 1920's Art Deco vanity for $80. But, I personally wouldn't buy a couch or bedding from these places. Antique stores are great too.
Here's some of my favorite sites for ideas.
