Asker of s

I was a thief in a trio of thieves. We were stealing clothes from some cars, but the owners were walking towards us, so we ran. We were in a small town. We ran into a tall fence made of black iron bars. We climbed and jumped it, but realized we had jumped into a yard, and were now surrounded by the fence. However, there was a part of the yard that went downhill, and there was a cove formed under a part of the building, which we hid under. We decided to stay for a while. The other girl in our group saw that the people who were looking for us were on top of us. Then they found us. We told them that we were local kids and wanted to see what this place was. They believed us; didnât know we were thieves. We said that the boy and I (who was blond) were brother-sister and the girl was our friend. So they escorted us home and we made up where we lived, but made sure to say no one was home. A woman walked my brother and I home. We had to walk across this stretch of street/sidewalk that was covered â I mean covered â in dead bees. It was from some weird thing a few years ago that they never cleaned up. I was super grossed out because I felt bad for all the bees, and also because they kept getting into my shoes. Finally we made it past that section and there was a sort of street festival thing going on. There was a tent which would usually have musicians. I donât remember what was going on â maybe nothing â but I knew that the love of my life was in that tent, and I went to him.

However, before I could see who he was, I was in a bedroom with an older sister and a younger sister and we were going to watch a movie before bed. It took place in the courtyard behind my real life block. It was like a Disney movie but the boy had been given the stats on his wife/soulmate (?). All I remember was that she was a Capricorn. He was a warrior and went to see the girl in the courtyard. He had on a helmet so she couldnât see his face. The girl who it was was sure it wasnât her, and hopeful that it would be this other girl who was a Sagittarius. But it was definitely her and she sat down in front of the boy and couldnât see his face. He then said no, which shocked the entire town. I forget his exact reason but it was something to the effect of timing being wrong or the potential of him going on a suicide mission, or something. Then I woke up with one line from One Too Many Mornings in my head:

âFrom the crossroads of my doorstep,â¨
My eyes they start to fade,â¨
As I turn my head back to the roomâ¨
Where my love and I have laid.â

I'm sure that there is a reason that 1. I never saw the person in the tent. 2. the Disney girl never saw the man. 3. I had to cross that street of dead bees (which was the worst feeling ever) to get to the person in the tent.

Also I have no idea about the Cap/Sag thing. I am an Aries.

There was nothing really in my life that could have influenced this. It came out of nowhere. But I just got this feeling that it had some meaning. Can anyone give some thoughts on the dream (not whether it had meaning)?

Answer
This is a good example of the sort of random dream in which one part doesn't have anything to do with the next part, and there is no distinct beginning or ending. Even though it feels as if it must have some important meaning, your old Zia Lucia must say that it is probably just random stuff, the sort of thing that floats through your mind while your brain is resting.

The beginning scene is reminiscent of several video games - Assassin's Creed, for example. All the running, jumping over the fence and hiding relates to general anxiety and fear of getting caught in the wrong place... nothing particularly specific, except that the iron fence is a common element in Halloween films and decor, so that probably has been in your mind recently.

In the same way, the carnival, tent, Disney movie, warrior, Cap/Sag ... all random stuff pulled from lots of sources. There is no single element or theme to pull it all together into any sort of metaphor relating to you.

By the way, the girl who was a Sag. represents yourself in some way. There is a bit about your not wanting to admit that a certain situation applies to you.

However, the bees in the street present an interesting and powerful metaphor. You are feeling as if you need to get somewhere or accomplish some task, but something nasty is blocking your way. It has the potential to be harmful - like bee stings - but really it's just nasty and creepy. As in the dream, you're going to need to suck it up and brace yourself to get through the problem so you do what needs to be done.

So I want to re do my bedroom but there is a problem. I am almost 18 and I share a room with my 13 year old sister. We cant agree on anything! I want a more sophisticated room and she wants a young teen room. How can I incorporate what we both like to make a room that we would both love? She loves bright neon colors and I like calmer colors. She is a justin bieber freak and has posters of him everywhere! I dont like posters (i dont mind framed pictures i just dont like posters).
The comforter that im getting for christmas is this one: http://www.target.com/Home-8-pc-Bed-Set-Flocked/dp/B002OC742O/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&searchView=list&keywords=home%208pc%20flocked%20floral%20brown%2Fblue&fromGsearch=true&sr=1-1&qid=1292473845&rh=&searchRank=target104545&id=Home%208-pc%20Bed%20Set%20Flocked&node=1038576%7C1287991011&searchSize=30&searchPage=1&searchNodeID=1038576%7C1287991011&searchBinNameList=subjectbin%2Cprice%2Ctarget_com_primary_color-bin%2Ctarget_com_size-bin%2Ctarget_com_brand-bin&frombrowse=0
And I dont know which one she should get (any ideas?)

Please give me ideas. Thank you!

Shelbie,
If you're looking at the set that is black/white, it won't fly with your sister.
If it's the blue/grey embroidered set, good choice! It's lovely!(I hope this is THE ONE you're getting

Now you have to get sneaky.

Take your sis for lunch & a manicure. Let her know that you realize that she's growing up and becoming a lovely young woman. Her body is changing, boys will soon be appearing on the front porch, and her tastes in "heroes" will change, too. (You and I know that Justin is never going to call her.) Let her know that the 7th & 8th grades at school will be a very important time of her life, and getting on the "A" list of popularity will require some sophistication in her mannerisms, her attire, her hairstyles & make-up. And of course, in her personal environment. When she brings girl friends home, the cutesy pink & lime green are going to seem very babyish to her friends.
Your shared room needs to reflect her maturity and good taste to run with the "In Crowd"
Rent the Audrey Hepburn movie "My Fair Lady,". Watch it with little sis. Then visit www.allposters.com for the poster of Ms Hepburn from that movie It's in black& white where she is wearing the stunning dress and hat at the horse races. Promise to buy it for her ONLY after she removes the posters of Justin from the walls!
Maybe matching bedding would encourage her, maybe not, or take her to Target and hekp her find a more suitable set for herself that will coordinate with yours.
(You can catch more flies with honey than you can with vinegar.
