My family loves libraries and often travel throughout the chicago area to spend time at good libraries for us. We have a 9,7 and 3 year old.
Answer
The Harold Library Washington Center has many wonderful facilities to spend time in with kids. It has a great atmosphere, lots of space, and beautiful decor.
Some pics and architectural facts about the building: http://www.bluffton.edu/~sullivanm/illinois/chicago/library/newlibrary.html
It also has an enormous children's library on the second floor, with child-sized chairs and tables, a circulation desk, a computer center, a parent center, a children's program room with puppet stage, and interesting displays. There's also the Storybook Dollhouse, which contains over seventy clues kids can identify with a children's story, poem, or nursery rhyme.
Depending on the day there are also storytelling, music and theater programs. See more info here:

The only downside of the library is that it can be a little crowded at times.

Does doing this to your room look stupid?
Fletch
Covering a whole wall in assorted rock music posters, like the main characters in Wayne's World.
I was thinking about doing it.
Answer
Some people (especially your parents) will probably say it does. Others will say it looks really cool. When I was a kid, most of my friends covered ALL of their walls with posters!
The way you decorate your room is a personal choice. It is important to have your own place to go where you feel comfortable and "at home," and reflects some of your personality. If you are doing this to impress someone else, or if you think the posters will distract you, or if you are worried that this kind of decor will make you seem childish, then don't do it. Or do just one wall. Or do a small collage on part of one wall.
But if you're pretty sure you want to do this, then go ahead and do it! If you don't like it, you can always take some or all of the posters down.
