kids bedroom sets under 500 image
The Frizzl
I was thing about raising some money and buying a new guitar, around the $350-500 price range, (I am a kid) and then getting a good amp for $100-270. Please suggest what to get, I am a beginner, and already have a Squier Fat Strat. (I don't like it much)
I was thinking: http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/PRS-Guitars-SE-EG-Electric-Guitar?sku=511962 - PRS for $400 http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Epiphone-Limted-Edition-Special-II-Deluxe-?sku=519385 Epiphone LP Limited Edition Special II Deluxe- $150 http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Epiphone-Les-Paul-Standard-Plus-Top-Electric-Guitar?sku=518341 Epiphone LP Standard plus Top $400
or http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Epiphone-Les-Paul-Standard-and-Amp-Pack?sku=513157 Epihone LP Standard w/Amp
I don't want a Fender, that's why I showed mostly Epis. I have no idea what to get for an amp, I already have a cheap Fender Frontman 15G amp, and its not good for distortion. I'll be practicing in bedroom so not 2 loud.
Any other suggestions for a guitar or amp please say so and show a link.
I know Squier's a cheap version of Fender!!! i already said that!

First of all, let's talk amps... And I'm using Musicians Friend as the source, ok? ( I get most of my stuff from them. )
#482272 - Line 6 Spider III 75 - $299.00
Here's why I like this amp, and own one. I live in a mobile home, which doesn't give you a ton of room to work with. So I don't need stacked amps, ok? This particular amp has presets that give you the same settings as some of the popular guitarists from popular groups. There are something like 250 artist presets, and 150 song presets. And you can set up your own, of course. But I'll let you read that for yourself, the site gives really good details on it. I can tell you, the amp is powerful, it makes my cat run for it's life. But it's not too overpowering that it's going to get you thrown out of the house by your folks. I really love this amp, it kicks butt. But go see for yourself. Oh, you can plug headphones into it, so you won't disturb anyone. Thought of that? I do, so I won't disturb my G/F while she watches TV. You can also plug an MP3 player into it, if I recall.
I personally own the Epiphone Les Paul Standard. Some people are gonna whine and say, "It's not a Gibson". Tell them to stuff it. Here's the main difference. Gibson uses rare woods from Honduras on their guitars, and the guitar is made by American labor in Nashville, TN. An Epiphone is made with standard mahogany, and built under Gibson quality control, overseas. It's the same guitar, for the most part, it's just not as fancy. The sound is practically the same. I can't tell them apart. I got mine from MF, and it's a beautiful instrument. It's powerful, has great tone, workmanship is excellent, and it tuned right up out of the box. Who could ask for more? I loved this guitar so much, I sold my Strat. Does that tell you anything?
One more piece of equipment, if you're interested. Since you love distortion. There are a variety of stomp pedals out there, and all is going to depend on what you can afford. But since you love your sounds distorted, I can tell you what pedal I use, and it surely does a good job. And it does it rather cheap too. I use the DigiTech "Grunge" pedal. DigiTech makes many other pedals, so go to MF and look them over carefully. You can find one that matches your music style. You can get them to range anywhere from Blues and Classic Rock, to full tilt Heavy Metal. You decide. Mine was about $40 and I'm not crying a bit over the price. The box works good for me. So check them out.
I like the setup that I have. I'm not planning to make any world tours or anything, I'm just jamming in the living room for fun. You don't have to break the bank in order to do it, but you would like a decent setup, and I think this is one. You see, and you decide for yourself.
Best wishes!

Where do I find AFFORDABLE Toddler/Kid Furniture?
brandimile
Im trying to find "Affordable" Toddler/Kid Furniture...My daughter is 13 months old and Im trying to find some "Affordable" furniture for her room like an AMOIRE and a COMBO HUTCH (which is like a dresser with a bookcase attached on top) and I need these in ESPRESSO! My parents bought her an espresso color crib when I was pregnant, they paid 1300.00 for it and I dont want to pay that much money for the rest of the pieces in that collection! When I say Affordable Im looking for something under 500.00...Around the 200-300 price would be awesome! Please reply only with experience. I already looked at all the "furniture stores" and they are out of my price range. I reside in Dallas Texas

If you have time to be "choosey", craig's list is a great option.
We got an entire bedroom set for our daughter, including a headboard, a dresser, mirror, desk with hutch and a chair for $900. It's beautiful, too - not something that was from Montgomery Wards circa 1975.
You can expand how far out you want to search, based on how far you feel like driving. But you will want to be quick if you find something good. ;)
