What is a good color for a bedroom?

I'm having my room repainted this December. What color should I choose to paint it?And any bedroom decor ideas?

Note: I have a small width, large length room (if that makes sense...)
My old room color is blue so i'm not going for that

It depends on what sort of mood you want to create in your room, like if you want a happy, jolly mood you can go for a bright colours, or if you want a calm effect you can go for calm colours like grey, or pastel colours.
