How about doing some of your own artwork for the walls? See here and look at the bottom of the page and you will see a quilt similar to yours - but this is quite a nice idea, but if you can't paint - look for some fabric remnants and some blank artists canvases and cut the fabric so it goes around the back of the canvas and just staple at the back - these can look nice in a mixture of fabrics, patterned and plain. Have a look here to give you an idea:

Spiderman-themed baby room??
Charley
My fiance and I are expecting a baby boy in June and we are trying to decide on how to decorate his room. My fiance is essentially just a big kid himself and wants to do the baby's room in Spiderman decor. Do any of you think that this is too "grown up" for a baby? I'm torn...I know my little boy will like it when he's a toddler, but I'm not so sure that it would be comforting for him as a baby. Any input is greatly appreciated!
Colleen: Thanks...that's what I was thinking too. I just have to find a way to convince my fiance otherwise!

I definitely think that Spiderman is for an older toddler/child. There are so many sweet baby boy ideas out there that would offer nicer things for your baby to look at. Plus, it would be extremely hard to find the baby bedding items (comforter, bumper pad, sheets, mobile, etc.) that come in a Spiderman theme--I've never seen them! I think having a "big boy" theme later will be a big step, and it will be neat to see how excited your son gets when you decorate it the way he wants. Personally my little girl has winnie the pooh stuff, but when she gets a little bigger I'd like to decorate her room in butterflies--now that she's a little older I know that she loves butterflies and that she would love her room decorated that way. Good luck!
