Answer
Most wall murals are scenic paintings that are painted directly on an entire wall. Some themes are the Wild West (wth cowboys and horses), Pirate Land (with ships and pirates), Jungle Land (with vines, trees, and big cats), Space World (with planets and stars), and Fantasy Land (with castles and enchanted forests). If you are artistic, you can paint a scene yourself; if not, then an artisitc friend or a paid artist can do it. I have seen canvas murals that can be attached to walls. There are precut holes at the top of the mural protected with grommets. The canvas scenes can be held up with nails through the holes. I have also seen themed wallpaper, but that is too big of a job and hard to put up. Some craft stores have sets of stencils that can be used to create a theme. Hope that helps a little.

For the Jungle try a carpet warehouse for cardboard rolls, cardboard from TV shops etc, they just skip it along with polystyrene packing.Fasten it all together with PVA type glue and newspaper.Short ends of cardboard rolls with paper glued over the end makes great drums.I hope you have the kids already,as making them takes a while. They will make the music for you if given the inevitable glued up brushes.Any strips of left over paper will always stick to the little darlings,so have a tape recorder to hand for when Mummy comes round for additional sound effects,or failing that colour the paper strips black and yellow for the tigers.Be careful as the one that I did included a giant spiders' web but I lt my little angels put it over the fire escape ,so,when the Head came racing through during the fire drill he got rather tied up!!Yours truly,a retired art teacher. Don't laugh too much I nearly forgot the pond............
