HELP!? What to buy a 1 year old for Christmas...?

My brother and I have to buy a present for our 1 year old nephew. I have no idea what he likes, I haven't seen him since August, and then I had to look after everything else (It was Dad's 60th).
The present has to be to the value of $60 ($30 from me, $30 from my brother). What do I buy HIM? He's one!

my mom keeps asking me but I don't know !!! I could invite all i want - that's not a problem with my parents - only I don't want the kids to mess up my house and my bedroom like they did in the last birthday-party, there the girl was almost going to cry of stress because everything was a mess and there were drunk people and some were in the bathroom puking and it was not a beautiful scene.
I don't know where else i could invite them because my country is so boring and so NOT many things possible to do .. :(
well, i could invite them to bowling, and say it's a closed party, but i don't think they'll listen and bring along some people i don't know !! it would be REALLY annoying !! and what am I supposed to say if they do bring someone? "you are not aloud to come in here!! " ? that's so not cool !!! besides who am i to not allow them to come to bowling?? lol
then I have another idea to only invite girls to my house, but i don't know what I am supposed to say why i didn't invite any boys to the party, which is not very cool, but alright.....

so please share all ideas !! thank you !! :D

IT should be something YOU really like...bowling is ok if bowling is important to do. Party at a rental hall...Moose, Elks, Eagles or the like. I would say hotel banquet hall but don't think parents would agree. Any place that has a Banquet hall to rent. You can send invitations and say entrance by invitation only meaning they must bring the invitation to enter. There could be a movie, dancing, Video game challenges or other activities you like. Dress can be casual, or dressy. You can say no gifts if that makes sense to you or say nothing. I have had friends have a fancy sit down dinner followed by a private movie, don't know where you are and what month...ski day, beach party, party with Hawaii Theme, Hawaiian luau, Barn dance, horse back riding, giant picnic. sky is the limit...its your big day...what is something you always wanted to do? give mom a couple ideas let her pick. Happy sweet sixteen...have a grand day
