In sims 3 generations!?

I have a family of five a Mom a Dad a teenage daughter, a son that is a kid, and a little girl that is a toddler. And every once in a while the grand parents come to visit! would it be better for them to live in a REALLY pretty two story house that is only three bedrooms? Or a BIG five bedroom one story. if you have generations it is called kid friendly mother approved but I updated the decor. And the 2 story is a house I built!
basically here is the question do you like one story houses or two story houses better? and what is best for a family?
well here is the thing I love the floor plan of each house and I like the fact that each of the kids could have their own room and the two story is a little cramped but I like the two story better so that is my problem!

Make them live in the bigger house, heres why.
When you have partys there will be more room
when you need more space for some items there will be more room

you will like the one story because you wont have to click to go up and down every time you want to go to the next story.
And i think the kids would agree they want their own bedrooms! :)
