Well alot of stores carry sport themed bedspreads, thats always an option. As for other things, hmm. There's always lamps, clocks, and storage items. I'm redoing my room also and when I searched for ideas I kept getting links to lockers for your room. Like actual school lockers, which if you painted them how you like would go with the football theme. You'll need a place for your friends to sit so beanbag chairs would be a good idea. I don't know if you play vidio games but if you do, racks to hold you games and a good chair to sit and play in. Maybe instead of getting a soda machine you could get one of those big water cooler things that they have at sport games. You know? Like a Gatoraid one? And then put in on a bar stool? Since I don't know your spending limit I'm kinda just putting random stuff down.

How do i get my cat used to a dog?

Elizabeth

I have a Siamese/himalayan full grown female cat who hates dogs. And my fiance whom I am planning on moving in with soon has a full grown male dog who loves to play and is super energetic and has had experiences living with cats and tends to chase them to attempt to play with them. Can someone please give me advice on how I could get our animals to live together happily and calmly together.

Also my cat likes to sleep with me at night and my fiance's dog sleeps with him at night too. Any ideas for how we could keep these arrangements?

Answer
There are breeds that should never be with cats unless they grew up with them from a puppy. Pit Bulls and Husky are two of those breeds. For them a running cat is prey. Dogs should be obedience trained to "Leave it" and Sit and Stay. Allowing the dog to chase cats was a mistake in its training. Seek training at PetsMart or something.

Get 6' tall or taller cat trees/condos so that your cat has escape places to get away when being "attacked" by the dog. That is exactly what the cat is going to think is happening. And if it feels it is being attacked, it is going to be defensive and that means claws into a nose or an eye. Provide tall places for the cat to go on furniture like top of the refrig or bookcases.

The problem here is that the dog doesn't know not to chase cats. It's also the dog's territory and the cat will be an intruder so look for territory problems.

Get an extra large memory foam dog bed and put it on the floor on your boy friend's side of the bedroom for his dog. Or get a king size bed!

I've pasted in some links for sites that should provide some help.
