Ideas for Decorating a Teenage Girl's Bedroom?

Natalie

Ever since I was young, the life of Marie Antoinette has always intrigued me. After the film Marie Antoinette directed by Sofia Copolla, it became one of my favorite films. I know it's not exactly historically accurate, but the movie is just visually stunning- from the costumes, to the interiors of Versailles, everything was like candy for the eyes. Especially the floral prints, flowers, ribbons, jewels, and pastries.

After seeing this ad for the perfume Miss Dior Cherie, I knew it looked familiar, and I also knew that I really liked the style of it. Here it is:

http://www.la-story.com/upload/2009/03/new_miss_dior_cherie_leau_fragrance_commercial_dir/missdior2balloons.jpg

After the commercial for said perfume was released, I found out that Sofia Copolla directed it. It demonstrates Copolla's love for bright pastels like hot pink, and softer shades like baby blues, mint greens, and light yellows. Pastries and flowers are also present, and so are pretty pastel balloons. Check it out:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3zWvtx0nijE&feature=related

Anyways, I would really like to decorate my room with bright pastels, and pretty furniture, but I'd like to know some places where I could find Marie Antoinette-esque fabrics (large florals that DON'T look grandma-ish), accesories, and some ideas for what should go into my bedroom. So far I've got this:

-Brass headboard
-White wall shelves ( for books and a couple knick-knacks)
-Poofy white comforter and sheets
-Pine dresser, and nightstand (think I should ask my parents about painting them white?)
-White plastic bins for storage (how can I make them a little less modern-looking?)
-And some other little things that aren't worth listing.

For the walls I'm planning on doing a very soft bluish-green hue sort of like the color on the walls of this scene (NOTE: This is the scene that really made me decide that I wanted to decorate my room like so; so keep that in mind! Also not the floral of the curtians. THAT is the floral that I would like to see in my room.):

http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i31/costumersguide/Marie-Antoinette/ohcapmarie/guitar%20stripe/image002797.jpg

Or I'd like to paint the room in a soft yellow tone, like the color of the dress and flowers (on the hat) worn by the auburn-haired woman closest to the person viewing the photo:

http://www.costumersguide.com/MA/trianon2a.jpg

I'm leaning towards the blue. Your thoughts?

So what I'm asking is for is pictures of and places where I can get colorful Sofia Copolla-inspired accesories and pretty rooms essentials that are reminiscent of what I've showed you. Also, tell me what you think I should do to decorate my room. Thank you! P.S. Links and photos are greatly appreciated!

hey can anyone help me find a website???

Q. Hey yall im thinkin about redecorating my bedroom
and i really want ideas
so do yall no any sites where they hav pictures of cute girl ( young woman lol im 17) bedrooms ???

Answer
the main idea for decorating is your need and function of the bedroom, as you know function for the bed room is for take a rest and sleep or in addition is for working or study.

So u just decor by using the main furniture such as: bed, closet, small table and chair and bookshelf. any things you need but not much

For the colour, I think you should paint in bright colour : blue, green, yellow, pink or white...because you are a teenager, maybe you can paint a contrust colour together to make it feel different and freshy when you come back from school.

second step is decor your wall, now aday we have many choices to choose, you can choose a cartoon picture from website and print to be big screen and attach to your wall, you can your math lesson in big sceen but try to make it nice, so u can get the special benifit from it.

If you need a picture of cute girl, I think the cutest girl is your self. make it in gray colour or a picture when you feel happiness.

bye

Teen Bedroom Decorating Ideas?

Alyssa M

Hey!
So my family and I are moving to a new house, and I am looking to redecorate my room to a really nice theme. The only problem is, I can't pick one out!!
We're moving into a cape, we think at least. I just need some help with it. I want a really cool comforter and lights and curtains and a mini fridge and things like that.
I already have the furniture, I'm not getting any new ones, besides maybe a chair or a couch.
I really really like Disney, even though I'm 16 years old haha :-) ! I'm not into the Disney Channel, I like classic Disney, you know Disney World! I love that. So maybe a room like that would be really need to have.
Also maybe a beach themed, or something like that. But my big idea is Disney I think.
And any suggestions even if they aren't Disney, are welcomed!! My favorite color is blue, if that helps, and my furniture is black. I also hate the color pink... ;P
So thank you!!
-Lyssie

Answer
Whatâs nice about bedroom furniture is that there are actually a lot of options to choose from in terms of style, also various styles rest with different ages. For example, luxury antique furniture relates to middle-aged and old people; while for young people, a modern feel featuring a clean look with stunning symmetrical lines maybe better; then simple and friendly used furniture are suitable for kids.

The choices donât just stop with style when it comes to bedroom furniture for a wide variety of designs and types are offered in as well. Take classic European stylish furniture selected by middle aged people for example, a wide carved bed with embroider bedclothes are necessary, then, believe it or not, there are a slew of dressers that you can get for your space, dressers are great if you have a lot of clothes that you need to fold and store away. Nightstands with drawers are always a good choice as well if you have many clothes to keep. Please do not just stop here with drawers and nightstands; you could have a good selection of armoires, entertainment centers, bed frames that have drawers built in them, vanity tables and dressers, mirrors, desks, benches, and bookshelves and all kinds of bedroom furniture. If you want to enjoy some romantic moment, then you need a set of leisure furniture, let the flavor of red wine permeate around the soft music to relax both your body and mind!

Easy Eclectic CHEAP apartment decorating?

Lestat

Hi! I'm moving into my first apartment. It's actually going to be the first time that I'm going to be living on my own. It's a small apartment (not like box or coffin apartment small) and I'm looking for some tips or ideas on design. Some of my likes / dislikes are:

Likes
----------
1. I like the color black, but not as in "goth" or batcave.
2. I like classical music.
3. I also like history. I'm very font of italian stuff and the renaissance.
4. I love paintings.
5. I'm generally a very eclectic person.

Dislikes
-----------
1. Any feminine colors or pastels. I'm a guy.
2. Many people like pop music. I dont.
3. I dont like brown. I think that bright yellow should be reserved for "Big Bird".

Please, any help that you can give would be obliged. How would I describe my taste and my views? I believe strongly that I was born into the wrong century.

Thank you very much for any help!
Something else, I'm a sucker for anything elegant.

Answer
Scan magazines and decorating books at your bookstore to see if you can find inspiration there. By scanning through them you'll see what wall colors and furniture you like. You can bring a magazine page with the color you like, bring it to Home Depot and they'll be able to reproduce the exact color for you. The furniture you see will in the magazines will probably be high end, but you can get the style you want, and go to furniture stores to find less expensive ones with the same look.

Based on your tastes (Italian Traditional?), I think you may like furniture and items from:
- Bombay Company store (they have sale going on!)
Some examples:
- http://www.bombaycompany.com/gp/product/B000EB9D30/sr=1-14/qid=1158963558/ref=sr_1_14/104-6537866-5767921?ie=UTF8&bmBrand=core&m=A2Z4DUPX2Z8M59

- Ballard Design (you can order a free catalog online) -- A bit pricey, but you might want to look at the accessories and wall decor:
Some examples:
- http://www.ballarddesigns.com/jump.jsp?itemID=2503&itemType=PRODUCT&path=1%2C2%2C21%2C84%2C371&iProductID=2503
- Crate and Barrel store (Might be pricey. But watch out for sales.)
- Cost Plus (No, it's not very european.. But they have inexpensive furniture that can be used for any style)
Example: http://www.worldmarket.com/furniture/living-furniture/upholstery-sofa/Taylor-Leather-Bench/lev/4/productId/693/Ne/1100001/Ns/NEW_ARRIVAL_FLAG%7c1%7c%7cCATEGORY_SEQ_2889%7c0/N/1100039/Nty/1/view/10000/index.pro

For sofas and other furniture, check out the selection at COSTCO.COM. You have to be a member, or ask a member to buy it for you. They have traditional styles, and the price can't be beat.

Decorating suggestions:
- Put a big (the biggest one you can afford!) mirror on one wall. It will greatly enhance the sense of space. Or buy those mirror panels at Ikea and put them together to make one big mirror.
- Use "leggy" furniture. When you see the space underneath, again it increases the sense of space.
- For every room, select a focal point, and place your furniture in such a way that your eye goes to the focal point. For bedrooms, the bed is the focal point.
- Make black an *accent* color. Try not to buy a black leather couch. Looks nice, but none of us girls will like it! :-) Anyway, that is too much black. Buy sofa with a neutral color, and put black accent pillows.
- Personalize with the paintings or prints that you love. Your art and history books will also look nice on display.
- Don't settle for something you don't really like just because it is cheap. Wait for it to come on sale, or look for it on ebay/craigslist. Take your time furnishing and decorating your apartment. If you get something just because it's cheap, you'll never grow to like it . Eventually you'll decide to get rid of it and buy something else.

Do your kids do projects?

Kassidy

So I asked my question about my mom not letting the kids paint and do a couple messy art things (we have a big art room that is just for that stuff). She agreed that starting when we get home (on vacation for a week) I can start having Friday paint day. Then Monday and Wednesday I can have a project for them (they LOVE projects). I decided to do it, because I have to watch all of them except the twins Monday, Wednesday, and Friday in the summer (mom going back after maternity leave part-time at first). The only thing is that I HAVE to have everything cleaned up inculding the kids by the time she gets home from work.

For the paint days, I decided that they will do one painting project that I give to them. Then they can choose one kind of painting (watercolor, tempra, or finger) each and then do a few pictures.

We also have 2 other days to do projects that don't involve paint (or 1 part is paint that can be done on Friday for the project time).

Any suggestions for the....
Monday and Wednesday projects? What about the Friday paint project? Oh, and they would like something to use clay, craft things (felt, pipe cleaners, scraps of paper, glue, buttons, googly eyes), or markers. Things they can't use on a regular day with my mom.

Answer
One of our favorite paint projects is to use non-drip paint and tape it to the underside of a coffee table. The child can then lay on the floor underneath the table and paint, Michaelangelo style.

Purchase some art smocks or have some old tshirts (they can be adult shirts) for the children to wear when doing messy projects. They can put either on right over their clothes, and not ruin clothes with markers or paint, etc. It also makes cleanup a little easier.

There is a series of books called "More Than..." There is one for science called "More Than Magnets", and I know they have one for art but I can not remember the name. Check your local library. It has a lot of neat ideas for arts and crafts projects.

The magazine "Pack-O-Fun" is my absolute favorite for Arts and Crafts ideas, and each issue also includes a little lesson on a part of the world, and crafts to go along with that lesson.
This magazine is not as easily found in stores, I have seen it at Publix. I subscribe so mine comes in the mail.

Family Fun is a mazine that is sold at most stores, it is a Disney publication and it has all sorts of ideas for arts and crafts, games, etc.

Perhaps Monday could be a "free" day, where they could create their own masterpieces, Wednesdays you could guide them with a project, and on Fridays they could paint? That opportunity to express themselves freely is extremely important.

You can make mobiles-either with kits you purchase at an arts and crafts or school supply store, or using string and hangers.

You can make a lot of things using tracings of the children's hands-butterflies (hands are wings), turkey (lots of hands for feathers), etc.

You can trace their bodies on paper, and they can draw their faces, clothes, etc.

You can make ornaments. THey can be used for the Christmas tree, hung from the rear view mirror, put a magnet on the back for the refrigerator, etc.

What about Dad? They sell plain white ties that you can decorate.

They can decorate construction paper with crayons, markers, stickers, etc. and then you could laminate them and use them as placemats.

Let them experiment with mixing colors to see what new colors the two combinations can make.

Draw straight, wavy, and zigzag lines on paper and have them cut them-this is an EXCELLENT motor skill for them to practice.

Let them make collages, using pictures cut out from old magazines.

The ideas are endless. You can purchase metal clips in the sewing section at Wal Mart, and the girls can make barettes.

Let them sew with yarn and paper with holes punched in (usually shaped paper)-this is another opportunity to practice motor skills.

Browse the arts and crafts stores, the craft aisles of Wal Mart, and children's magazines for ideas. The opportunities are endless!

EDITED TO ADD: Several arts and crafts stores also have projects the children can do in store on the weekends, which are free or sometimes cost a couple of dollars for materials. That could give you ideas as well.

Anyone know where I can find a scoccer ball table and chair set for me son's bedroom?

kristen_jo

I think I have searched every website I can think of for a table and chair set with ONLY soccer balls on it. They all have footballs, baseballs, and basketballs too. I just want the table top to be a HUGE soccer ball.

Answer
Hmmmmm.. I'm not sure, but I would try amazon.com, ebay (you can find almost anything!), overstock.com, or even just do a google search for "kids soccer table and chair set" or similar. If you know of any artists (friends, relatives, or even any busineses in the area) you could buy a plain table and chair set and have it painted with soccer balls also. good luck! kids never realize how hard it is sometimes for parents to find just what they want!

ideas for my bedroom?

TOTELYJW13

my dad is letting me redo everything in my room (paint, furniture, carpet, etc...) and i just got a new bedding set before he told me....so i have to match my room to that!
i dont have a picture, but the bedding is gray and it has burgundy, hot pink, black, and white flowers on it....its hard to describe!
like these colors...
http://www.powermaticgearstore.com/sitebâ¦
http://www.linensbyjanet.com/Images/BC/Bâ¦
http://images.netshops.com/mgen/swatch:Mâ¦

so heres what i need help with:
1. where can i get inexpensive black furniture that is VERY GOOD QUALITY
2. what color should i paint my room(probably not a dark color because it will make my room look smaller)
3. how can i decorate it so that its fun and stuff but not a KIDS ROOM (im in high school, freshman)
4. what color carpet

Answer
Your links don't work.

1. Maybe Ikea or Pottery Barn/PB Teen? I think you should look for secondhand furniture (moving/garage/yard sales, auctions, thrift stores, eBay) and paint it black. Cheaper, and unique.

2. Gray or white. You could hang up bright pictures and posters with black frames.

3. Paintings/posters/photographs, wall shelves for cute and weird things (Re-ment, maybe?). I want to get a bonsai tree, those are awesome.

4. Sorry, I really don't know... burgundy? But that might look weird...

Try Etsy for cool things to decorate with. :]

Zebra print bedroom- what kind of wall decor should I use?

Lisa

I have a zebra print bedspread- it's black/white/grey. My walls are beige. I have a red accent carpet and a red lamp.

I love high heels and purses, would those types of pictures match? I could use maybe a red mat with a black frame? If not, what would you suggest?

Choose several that you like and mat and frame them. Then arrange them in a unique way on one wall only, for more impact. You could put three vertically and one of each side in a cross pattern or experiment with whatever configuration works for your space. Here are some accent pillows that might look good too:

Bedroom decor help?

hollymccar

I'm pretty much broke. I want to decorate my bedroom and make it a place I actually enjoy being. Here's what I'm working with, and keep in mind I rent so I cannot do anything perm. (painting, shelving, etc)
Floor is blue carpet (dusty darkish blue) and walls are light grey panneling and white. I have one tallish window, A dark wood bed and a closet with two sliding doors-it's brightish wood. Color scheme, theme ideas, pictures, do-it-yourself ideas, links etc would be greatly appreciated and make a "best answer" more likely.

Oh, and a big problem: I have this wall a/c unit and it's brown and awful and big. Any creative ideas to cover it up and yet keep it functional without doing anything permanent would be awesome.

Thanks!!

Answer
You can place a remnant piece of carpet in a camel or tan over your existing. Can get one for about $20.00 to fit your room. It will make a huge impact.
The a/c unit can't be covered, so you'll just have to buy a partition to put in front of it. If you can't afford a partition, just buy swing shutters at Lowes and have them screw hinged together in an accordian type way. Two or three panels should do it. I'll guess this way it will cost about $30 (a real partition would be in the hundreds).
Now for the window. You can buy a rod pocket hardware and screw it in, above your window and sew (or even hand stitch) a sheet in a color that matches your bedding to fit over the window.
Also why couldn'r you paint your walss and then paint to original color when you're moving? Try a buttercream shade of cream/yellow. It will warm up your room and make it cheery without looking yellow.
Can get a "bed in a bag" at most local stores (Bed bath and beyond or walmart or target.... see about a good sale on neutral colors).
That's it. Enjoy...

Here is a homemade idea that I came up with:

Collage-
Find tons of pictures of your family and friends. Cut them out into various shapes. Paste or glue them to a poster board or pin all of them to a bulletin board. If you choose to to the poster board and if it is within your budget, you can frame them to keep forever. Make various collages and hang them around your room. Make sure the poster board or bulletin board is completely covered with pictures. The collages doesn't just have to be of family and friends, you can also look in magazines or print some pictures off of your computer.

Good luck hope, and hope I helped! I'm sure it will come out amazing.

How do I decorate a toddler's bedroom without breaking the bank?

Little Bug

I need to turn my son's plain nursury into a toddler boys room, but I;m not sure what to do.

Paint isnt cheap ( I dont care what you say, an 11X12 bedroom will cost us $100 to paint), and we have a crib that converts to a toddler bed, only problem is that they no longer sell the guard rail that converts it to a toddler bed (It's target's do your room nursury crib). A friend gave us an elecric blue and yellow plastic/metal bed, (no stickers, it was spongebob I think) but I can't find any toddler rooms that seem to not look cheap/cheesey with the plastic/metal beds, or rooms that are not girly with the crib to daybed option. Plus I can't find a guard. The twin bed guards don't work with toddler mattresses

Am I going to have to shell out $50+ for a wooden toddler bed, plus table+chair set ($50), toy organizer ($59), Posters ($9.99+Frames), Bedding ($40)?

..

Thats $224!!!!!!..at least!!

Anyone know if building the stuff is cheaper? Is it easy? I don't have a lot of tools (nor do I live by an Ikea), so buying plans won't help me very much.

ANy ideas?

I've tried Craigslist, consignment stores, 'goodwill stores', and none of them have any of the stuff I'm looking for. Not even a plastic table or toybox, or they have it and it's used...abused.. and $10 less then the new stuff

I'm burnt out and wondering how to do this for him without shelling out $300 in cash

Answer
Hey i have a toddler myself, and i know what you mean!
You want to make it more grown up and colourful but not not spend alot of money!

If your in australia, you can go to spotlight, they have packs of kids furniture, such as say a toddler bad and some cupboards.Or just the beds, in characters, and they are reasonably cheap! It will last him till he is big enough for a single bed! Also they sell like tables and chairs!
But if you do not wish to go out and buy this new, id say just go to target or a store thats similiar and just buy a clip on rail. I think they are like $30. (or ebay)

Go to your local baby stores, and check out thier sales on decor for rooms. For my daughter i just picked up a pack (think there was 6-7) wooden decorations that you just stick on the wall. They are like princess theme, so castles and so on, they arent big maybe like 10cm x 10cm... and i think that was like $20. I dont know where your located (please tell me =]) cause i got these at baby kingdom! (Im in australia)
But alot of baby stores have sale bins on decor for rooms. You can usually find alot of nice things cheap!

Or if you really dont have time or money to search. You can just get old wrapping paper (that is in good condition) with nice prints for boys such as cars and so on (if you have non just go to a dicsount store and buy a sheet for $1!) and frame these. I have in my daiughters room, in a frame, the first wrapping paper she ever got from a gift when she was born. Its soo cute and is sentamental aswell! You can do this aswell with gift bags you have laying around!

Or you could simply get your son to draw pictures of his favourite things on bright coloured paper and frame this! And when he has friends or family over he can show it off!! Lets him contribute!

Hmm think thats all i can think of at the time sorry lol, we did so many things like this, not just to save money, but so its unique and different!

hope its helped!
goodluck!!
I will add any more ideas i come up with! =]

Moving into house with a room I want to make the play room, how to decorate and make functional?

Miki

I have one boy and two girls so it needs to be unisex. I want the room to be bright and cheerful. There is a huge window seat that I want to take advantage of. I know I want the furniture to be honey or natural. There needs to be a table for art, a place where they can watch movies and play video games, a place where hey can play with toys, and a place for them to read. This room is huge, almost as big as the master bedroom. I also need an idea for easy storage to make clean up go by quickly.

Answer
Due to the fantastic size of the room you have to work with, you can easily create separate zones for the tasks at hand: Craft area, media area, play area and reading area. Divide the room into four spaces

Putting the media area and the play area next to one another makes sense so the quieter activity areas of crafting and reading can be at the other end of the room. You can use furniture and storage units along with a folding screen to help divide the room into the four zones.

In the reading area, place book shelves at a right angle to the wall to create a cozy area which has comfortable seating and ample lighting. Create a 'library' setting which takes up only the necessary space to read. Next to that, the craft area would work well because the table is close by the library for homework projects. Have a bulletin board for hanging art work and think about spray painting a large area of the wall with chalk board paint, then frame it with molding. The bottom frame portion should be think enough to hold an eraser and a cradle for colored chalk.

In the media area you could use the couch to define it's space, leaving the play area close by without obstructions so the kids can play and watch cartoons at the same time. There are lots of storage units available for clean and neat ways to keep toys in order. Check out Ikea.com to see their vast selection of storage units. Some are available in fun colors which can help you decide upon the color direction you want to go in.

So, take a good look at your room and decide how you want to split it up. Take the window seat and the sunlight into consideration when space planning.

For color, you need some inspiration. You may elect to begin with an area rug in the play area where you can take your color pallet from. Or, go shopping and find fun fabrics for the window seat area. Make large pillows for the window seat that can double as floor pillows, so use durable upholstery fabrics. You may want to have some fun with paint by using more than one color to define the four individual spaces or just have one bright accent wall. Once you select fabrics and or an area rug, the color choices will be easier to select. Do not paint first and then try to match things to the paint as that will frustrate you and narrow down your decor choices to a maddening level.

Remember, you do not have to break up the room into four equal parts. Think about the amount of space you need for all four activities and plan accordingly. Make a floor plan of the room by using graph paper with a scale of one square equaling one foot. Then, make cut outs of the furniture you plan to put into the room. This will give you an excellent insight on space planning and will prevent you from physically moving furniture back and forth. With it all on paper first, you will have the confidence to proceed.

Good luck in your new home.

what do you think of these paint colors?

Angelica

k so i am a young girl and im getting my own room, which has always been used as a storage room/office room before and its very dreary so my parents said i could paint the walls however i wanted :)
so i want to paint all the walls cheerful bright colors....
so far, my ideas are orange, hot pink, green (like a grassy, leafy sort of green) and then....maybe a turquoise/teal sort of blue....
what other colors could i use to replace any of these colors? lol
and also, what color carpet should i get.....?? cuz the old one is alll messed up...
thanks :)

Answer
Colors used in the carpet should be less bright to ease cleaning and
contain a mix of a few colors to avoid stains to stick out as much as
in a unicolored carpet. Little accidents happen unexpectedly...

You might want to paint at least the wall that is furthest away from the window
in white or a light color to brighten the whole room. You can put up colorful pictures too.

Idea for Painting a BEDROOM Set in DISNEY PRINCESS THEME?

WellaTeam

HI guys I had a question, we bought a really nice bedroom set/hutch /desk set for my girls bedroom, and I need ideas on how to paint it in a disney princess theme?

My kids room is painted in lilac/pink with all disney decorations, does anyone have any ideas on what color to paint the bedroom set?

the set is now in all white, it needs to be painted because it has a few scratches, what color do you think will match? any ideas would be appreciated this will be such a fun project for me! Thanks in advance

Answer
I have two granddaughters (cousins) that have Princess themed bedrooms. One has antiqued Oak furniture, and we let the wall decorations dictate the theme - her mother and I painted a castle mural on one wall and painted the other three wall lilac.

The other granddaughter has a "castle" loft bed painted white, with a pine dresser that they also painted white to match. We simply added new knobs that I bought from E-bay that depicted a wand, castle, tiara, etc. Each knob is different. We also replaced the knobs on the bi-fold closet door with the same. Her walls are pink and decorated with Disney Princess cameos.

Answer
A nice pale green colour would be lovely. It would compliment the lilac and pink already in the room.
Paint the furniture green with white accents, IE. doorknobs and antique white rubbed in along the borders of the Drawers and edges of the dresser, Headboard, and Chair etc.
Crystal knobs would go nicely as well on the dresser pulls/knobs.
You could paint a pretty floral in the centre of the drawers, Headboard etc. with these 4 colours.
It will give you a sense of continuity.

In my opinion.I would not repeat the actual Disney decorations on the furniture as that may look like overkill.
It would be far more princess like to paint an extension of what princesses rooms should look like.
You can pick up pretty floral motifs or any type for that matter,
in stencil form at Home Depot or a good paint store.
This is a very easy way and almost foolproof to achieving perfect painting images.
If you can afford to purchase Stencils with at least 2 to 4 Overlays the better and more professional the look will be.
It will have far more dimension to the artwork.
Another idea is to purchase stencils of your choice that have 2 overlays and create a raised plaster effect in white.
This technique is extremely easy and stunning once done.

I have supply you with some websites that you can browse through for inspiration and ideas as well as some instructions to the ideas that I have outlined for you.

How to Make Stencils for Painting below;

An important tip about stencil cutting is not lifting up your Exacto knife once you've started cutting. It makes for a sharper edge. Also, use a piece of glass as your cutting surface. This has really helped me and doesn't damage anything. Purchased an Exacto knife with a swiveling blade. Wow...this tool is so excellent makes me want to buy stock in the company...You need to buy Mylar film to create and cut out your own desgins. You will need a repositional Spray adhesive like the one made by Scotch.
You spray this on the back of the stencil and then place on the object that you will paint in.
